Silly ball
Feb. 11th, 2016 16:20Kiyo has figured out from where the food enters the terrarium. In the first few months with us she wasn't eating but she was very active, climbing all over everything she could reach, night as day. I think now she was actually looking for food but not recognizing what was offered.
Now that she Knows, she lies in her log, head just sticking out, as soon as the sun starts setting, just watching the terrarium door, and when a pinkie comes along she's on it in seconds! Pinkies are a bit small true, but I daren't try the bigger ones yet after the last Fiasco. So she's getting two pinkies a week for a bit longer and then we'll see again.
Also yesterday she got a bath casue she'd been a messy eater the day before, and afterwards she peed all over me XD
(And I have a cold again ;-;)

Jan. 18th, 2016 18:10SHE DIDN'T EAT THAT BLOODY RAT SHE WAS GUARDING IT THAT'S WHY SHE WAS ACTING WEIRD AND NOW WHEN I GOT HOME FROM WORK IT WAS STINKING UP THE APARTMENT SO BAD!!!!!! NAUGHTY FUCKING SNAKE GOD DAMMIT!!!
Kiyo's acting a bit weird. She's laying with just her head poking out of her log and as soon as anyone passes by she snaps to attention!
I tried looking inside the log though and I couldn't see the rat, so I hope she's managed to eat it :3

Jan. 16th, 2016 19:56Kiyo got offered a bigger rat than usual today (the pinkies really are too small for her) and she snapped it up so fucking fast!! :D such a proud snake-mama~
Only she managed to drag it inside her log (and it looks a bit cramped in there) and she's had it for an hour now and not actually eaten it, just "killing", so we'll see how it goes.

Kiyo actually struck at the rat today!! But her aim was off and she hit the feeding thongs instead ;A; You could see it probably hurt becasue she kept adjusting her jaw afterwards and the she wouldn't try again ;-; poor baby <3
Good and bad day
Dec. 10th, 2015 19:48We weighed baby ball today and realized she's lost a bit too much in weight. She hasn't eaten since october, which would be completely fine with an adult but not so much a baby. We've tried everything else we could think of so today me and hubby force fed her instead ;-; it was horrible. Really, truly, heart wrenchingly awful, and I hope I never have to go through anything even remotely similar when my actual baby is born.
But now that we know baby ball has a full stomach, some of our worry for her is abated at least.
